About us
We are a Greek Australian family who have spent the last five years investing heavily in agriculture in Greece. The motivation to do so comes firstly from the heart, to connect tangibly with our mother country, a country of immense beauty but with a troubled past. Secondly there is the rational motivation, the head, which understands that Greece derives its wealth from the countryside.
Linking the two has resulted in the production of a crop of outstanding quality oregano, native to Greece, ready for export.
The name Dini Farm comes from the joining of the first two names of the children of the family, Dina and Nicolas. It has been their father, Jacob, that has taken it upon himself to leave something of great value to his children. From the loss of his village in the 1974 invasion of Cyprus, it is his life’s mission to regain a part of this beautiful country for his family.
We are in the process of planting Lavender and are in the planning stages for Aloe Vera.
These plants are both renowned for their medicinal qualities, much like oregano.
Our farm in Thessaloniki is also home to 500 sheep and goats that are currently producing milk for the Greek market. Our next step is to use this milk to produce gourmet Greek-Cypriot cheese in our own recently acquired cheese factory for export to Australia and world markets.
